Children

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

Children learn to worship by watching people worship! It can be a time of joy, as well as learning and growing , or simply having time to rest and think deeply about things in life - all while surround by people who are kind and welcoming. They learn that this is a safe place to be. They learn this is important in your life and in theirs.
In this coming year, main children's programing -  JAM (Jesus and Me!)  - for Elementary-aged children will continue on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:30.  Music, stories, Bible work, and crafts and activities/games will be included.
On Sunday mornings, children are encouraged to attend worship with their families. There will be a brief children's time during the service, and stories for them to reflect on - and color if they want.
Following worship, there will be a time for singing and snacks while the adults share coffee and treats!

Special Learning Events will be held for different ages throughout the year, as well as opportunities for times to just be together and have fun. Check back to this page often to get more info as events are planned!

Mid-Week  Activities

JAM - Jesus  And Me!

JAM our is new mid-week Children's Program for 1-5th Graders. We have a group of dedicated leaders who lead in stories, songs, crafts and fun activities for children! Each year the children re-tell the story of Christ's birth in mid-December. We hope to be singing in worship more often this coming year as well!

Holy Communion

Holy Communion is an important part of our community of faith and our connection with Jesus. 5th Graders meet to bake our allergen-free bread for the services as they take learn more about this important Sacrament, "Expanding the Table".
1st and 2nd Graders are invited to begin learning in a special class called "A Place at the Table"    if they and their parents are ready to take their place. Jesus said, "Do this to remember me!"

Third Grade Bible Presentations

"Your Word is a Lamp to my Feet and a Light to me path."
In Grade 3, Students meet with Pastor Steph to learn about the Bible and how to read and understand it. Following that time together, their parents present the Bibles to them during worship as we celebrate this milestone in the faith life!

VBS - Vacation Bible  School

Each summer Redeemer, Trinity and Zion meet together for VBS rotating campuses. Most often, it is the first week of August after summer sports teams have finished.
Come join us for games, crafts, Bible stories, food and more!!
Volunteers are always welcome to help!

Family Nights and Service

Throughout the year, there are times for children and parents and friends to gather together and enjoy time together.  These may be lock-ins at the church, ski trips , Sledding, Caroling, Game Night, Bowling or Swimming parties! Parent chaperones are needed for these events so if you can help, let us know!

Emmaus Bible Camp

Pathways Bible Camp has camps throughout the summer and even winter time retreats for youth, children, families, even seniors and congregational events. Camperships are available for kids to attend. We most often schedule with Emmaus in Menahga, MN or LutherCrest near Alexandia. Brochures are available in February.
